They have also included a lot of nice tweaks and quirks from those games, such as the blade flashing when you pause for an alternate combo or your speed naturally increasing as you run outside of combat. It's clear the developers are very big fans of the franchises, and they're trying to make something that falls into a similar niche. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though.
